The Corel Office productivity suite is comprised of Corel Write, Corel Calculate, and Corel Show. With Corel Write you can view, create, and edit text documents – just like you would with Microsoft Office Word. With Corel Calculate you can view, create, and edit spreadsheets – just like you would with Microsoft Office Excel. And with Corel Show you can view, create, and edit presentations – just like you would with Microsoft Office PowerPoint.

The system requirements for running Corel Office are: 1GHz processor or better; 256MB of RAM or more (512MB recommended or more); at least 152MB of free disk space; 1024 x 600 screen resolution or more; 32- or 64-bit version of Windows, any version from Windows 8 down to Windows XP.

A setup wizard will help you install Corel Office on a PC that meets the system requirements presented above. During the installation process, Corel Office asks you which components you want to install: Corel Write, Corel Calculate, Corel Show. By default, all three are selected. But if you don’t want to install Corel Calculate for example, you can opt out of installing this spreadsheet application.

Corel Write, Corel Calculate, and Corel Show have a similar interface: a Blue style, ribbon interface. If you don’t like the Blue style, you can switch to Black, Silver, or Scenic. And if you don’t like the ribbon, you can switch to toolbar mode. It must be mentioned here that you can further tweak the interface by changing the font size and by changing the interface language.

With Corel Write you can view, edit, and create reports, letters, memos, newsletters, and other things of the sort. Corel Write is a very useful text editor that you can use for all your text editing needs.
With Corel Calculate you can view, edit, and create spreadsheets. Corel Calculate is very useful for managing home finances, business accounts, performing complicated calculations, and managing numerical data.
With Corel Show you can view, edit, and create presentations. Corel Show helps you create visually appealing presentations.

Corel Office is not free, it is only free to try for an evaluation period of 30 days. A prompt will remind you of this fact whenever you launch Corel Write, Corel Calculate, or Corel Show. Please note that you will have to register your copy of Corel Office; this means you can't start using Corel Office unless you create a Corel account and sign in.

Corel Office provides a nice alternative to Microsoft Office. Corel Write is just as good as Word, Corel Calculate is just as good as Excel, and Corel Show is just as good as PowerPoint.

Pros

Modern and even older PCs will have no problems meeting Corel Office’s system requirements. You can choose the componenets that will be installed on your PC. Corel Write, Corel Calculate, and Corel Show have a similar interface; you can customize the interface if you want to. Use Corel Write to edit text, Corel Calculate to edit spreadsheets, and Corel Show to edit presentations.

Cons

Trial limitations: 30-day trial, nag screen. You have to create a Corel account and sign in to start using Corel Office.
